RN Sims has been a registered nurse for 20 years primarily in mental health in the United States, with a specialization in mental health and utilization management. I completed my baccalaureate nursing degree at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Texas in 1996. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health. I worked at Walter Reed Army Community Hospital in Washington DC as a inpatient mental health nurse for two years. I worked at Camp Lejeune North Carolina as a nurse manager in inpatient Mental Health for 3 years. I worked in Great Lakes, Illinois as a supervisor in outpatient mental health for 6 years. I went to Guantanamo Bay Cuba and worked as an inpatient mental health nurse for one year. I retired from the military in Feb 2012 and currently work in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a mental health consultant and substance abuse consultation, with access to community and mental health resources.
